Issue Position

As the Representative for California's 42nd Congressional District, Congressman Miller believes that requested funds must invest in critical infrastructure and community development projects that serve Southern California residents and are identified needs by local community leaders and constituents.

The federal appropriations process helps to fund both the general priorities of our nation and the local needs of communities across the country. Targeted Congressional appropriations, for instance, have helped to develop and implement new technologies and have provided seed money for important projects in Southern California ranging from educational programs to necessary transportation and water infrastructure improvements. As such, these targeted appropriations help to ensure that our communities and neighborhoods benefit from the federal tax dollars we all pay.
